5th Annual Georgia Accounting Food Fight | August 13 – 24, 2018 | 

Congratulations to The Georgia Society of CPAs and the Accounting Industry! Over 60 accounting firms and industry accounting departments representing over 5,000 members of the industry competed in the Food Fight, raising a record-breaking $174,367 and 5,915 pounds of food for Georgia’s food banks, the equivalent of 702,399 meals.

2018 Georgia Accounting Food Fight Regional Highlights 

America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia (Savannah / Coastal Georgia)

  • TJS Deemer Dana raised the most local total points with 16,900 TP
  • David H. Womack & Co. PC, CPAs raised the most total points per employee with 1,268 PPE

Feeding the Valley Food Bank (Columbus / South West Georgia)

  • Robinson, Grimes & Company, P.C. raised the most local total points with 14,111 TP and total points per employee with 266 PPE

Food Bank of Northeast Georgia (Athens / Northeast Georgia)

  • Collins/Moody & Company P.C.  raised the most local total points with 10,815 TP and total points per employee with 2,163 PPE

Georgia Mountain Food Bank (Gainesville Area)

  • Rushton raised the most of local total points with 2,550 TP and points per employee at 69 PPE in this region.

Golden Harvest Food Bank (Augusta / East Central Georgia)

  • SME CPAs raised the most local total points with 5,463 TP
  • Fuller Frost & Associates CPAs raised the most local points per employee with 323 PPE

Middle Georgia Community Food Bank (Macon / Middle Georgia)

  • The Nichols, Cauley & Associates raised the most points per employee in this region at 548 PPE.
  • McNair, McLemore, Middlebrooks & Co.,LLC the most local total points in this region with 24,215 TP

Second Harvest of South Georgia (Valdosta / South Georgia)

  • The Henderson & Godbee, LLP raised the most in the region for  local total points with 6,926 TP and local points per employee at 239 PPE.

The Georgia Society of CPAs and Georgia’s Accounting community are using their one voice to create a friendly food and fund drive competition among Georgia accounting professions to support the Georgia Food Bank Association and the Food Banks across the state. For two weeks only (August 13 – August 24), accounting firms and industry accounting departments in all parts of Georgia will compete to raise the most food and funds for their regional Food Bank. Everything you raise will stay local, but the glory will be statewide! Who will be the fiercest food fighter this year?

GOAL

70 Firms & Industry Accounting Departments raising $150,000 and 10,000 pounds of food for Georgia’s Food Banks!

KEY DATES

July 1 – August 24: Registration OPEN!

August 1: Sign – Up by this Date for 100 Bonus Points!

August 13 – 24: Accounting Food Fight – Only food & funds raised during this time count towards your totals!

August 28: Final day for competitors to submit donations to their food banks.
