Sarah Jackson joins the Georgia Food Bank Association as the new Corporate Partnerships Manager. In this role, Sarah works closely with the eight regional food banks to leverage new and current corporate partnerships with a focus on increasing the impact of existing statewide food and fund drives as well as creating new opportunities. She also oversees planning of the annual Wild Hog Supper, which celebrates the start of the Georgia Legislative Session and benefits Farm to Food Bank.
Passionate about increasing access to healthy food, Sarah brings with her extensive experience in hunger program management, strategic partnerships, resource development, and community outreach. She previously worked with the University of Georgia Office of Service-Learning as the founding coordinator of Campus Kitchen at UGA, a student-powered hunger relief program which recovers otherwise wasted food from local food vendors and transforms it into healthy meals delivered to at-risk seniors. She also managed a federal grant that placed 7 full-time AmeriCorps VISTA members at community subsites to address food insecurity and increase access to nutrition education.
Sarah is a “Double Dawg” with a Masters of Public Administration with a focus in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelors in Geography from the University of Georgia.
