Annual Wild Hog Supper

Out of an abundance of caution, the Annual Wild Hog Supper event that was scheduled for January 10, 2021, has been canceled.

It is unfortunate that we will not be able to gather together in person to celebrate Georgia’s agricultural community and it’s partnership with our food banks during a time when the Farm to Food Bank program has never been more important.

Each year, Georgia farmers donate millions of pounds of healthy fruits and vegetables for the food banks to distribute to hungry families in our state. This year, the food banks have been tasked with feeding more families than ever before due to the economic effects of the pandemic.

During these unprecedented times, the partnership between farmers and food banks has proven to be an invaluable and impactful force for good.

While we may not be able to celebrate this work at the Wild Hog Supper come January- you can continue to support the food banks’ mission to end hunger in Georgia by volunteering your time, educating your peers about food insecurity, or making a donation to your local food bank.

We’ll miss you in January, but we look forward to welcoming you back to the Wild Hog Supper in 2022. Save the date for the 59th Annual Wild Hog Supper for January 9, 2022.

While we may not be able to celebrate in person at the Wild Hog Supper come January, you can continue to support the Farm to Food Bank program in 2021 by becoming a sponsor for our Wild Hog Supper Legislator’s Box!

In lieu of our in-person event, the Georgia Food Bank Association is teaming up with the Georgia Department of Agriculture to provide a Wild Hog Supper themed box featuring Georgia Grown products and a Save-the-Date for the 2022 Wild Hog Supper to every member of the Georgia state legislature.
