Out of an abundance of caution, the 2021 Wild Hog Supper event has been canceled.
The Annual Wild Hog Supper is a historic celebration of Georgia’s thriving agriculture community and its partnership with our food banks on the eve of the commencement of the Georgia state legislature.
The event, which first kicked-off over five decades ago, is co-hosted by the Georgia Food Bank Association, the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and Commissioner Gary Black. The event is open to the public and widely attended by state legislators and movers and shakers from across the state.
Originally organized by a group of lobbyists, the event was handed over to the Georgia Food Bank Association in 2012 by Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black and now benefits our Farm to Food Bankprogram. The event is family-friendly, alcohol-free, and serves as a fun way to rub shoulders with both seasoned and upcoming state leaders and enjoy some good ‘ole Georgia BBQ.
While we may not be able to celebrate in person at the Wild Hog Supper come January, you can continue to support the Farm to Food Bank program in 2021 by becoming a sponsor for our Wild Hog Supper Legislator’s Box!
In lieu of our in-person event, the Georgia Food Bank Association is teaming up with the Georgia Department of Agriculture to provide a Wild Hog Supper themed box featuring Georgia Grown products and a Save-the-Date for the 2022 Wild Hog Supper to every member of the Georgia state legislature.
